Guitar Part Magazine reviews the Galileo 15 and C112 Small
“So small and so young, yet it has everything it takes to be among the best.”
“The Galileo is one of very few amps that are hard to switch off once you've started to play; these amps have the ability to transform a 5-minute test into 2 hours!”
“DV Mark has fulfilled its mission, by producing an amp with the tone of the legends in a solid and small package.”
“With amps of this quality, DV Mark will shortly gain a very high reputation, as they did with Markbass.”
“This amp, very Fender-like in terms of sound, is close to the mythic Blackface from the 60s.”
Mixdown Magazine (Australia) reviews the Galileo 15 and the C112 Standard
"Mark have solidified their place in the market through innovative ideas, portable high-quality rigs and, above all, good tone."
Gitarist in the Netherlands reviews the Galileo 15
Gitarist magazine in the Netherlands has published a comparison test between the DV Mark Galileo, Egnator Tweaker, ENGL Gigmaster 15 and Laney Cub Head. They rated the DV Mark amp as having 4.5/5 sound quality, and gave it a 4/5 rating overall. The review priased the amp's "boutique" quality sound, and noted that the amp conveyed very precisely the differences in pickup switch positions. It said the amp has a lot of punch and low end, and is very suitable for fusion, jazz and country styles.
Guitarist Australia reviews three DV Mark products
Some excerpts from the Guitarist Australia review:
"Through the C112, the Galileo absolutely roars. We’ve never heard this kind of level from a 15w anything, especially through a single speaker. Wherever the master volume is set, the highly efficient speaker continues to present a full-range sound, even at a very low level. Most notably, the bass frequencies speak loud and clear, defying the open-back design. This amp is small and portable, but with the kind of tone and power you’d expect from an amp twice its size."
iGuitar reviews the Galileo 15 and C212 V
Among the comments::
"It’s surprisingly loud, making it ideal for recording, rehearsing, and also smaller sized gigs. Tonally, the Galileo can produce a wide variety of sounds, although falling more into the classic-sounding category rather than high gain. It also has plenty of headroom too, for glassy, bright clean tones and even when cranked and crunchy the Galileo cleans up nicely when the guitar volume is backed off."
"Another interesting and slightly radical thing about the setup provided for our demo was the speaker cabinet. For our demo we used the C212V, a slanted 2x12 cab, with a vertical design, almost as if a 4x12 had been sliced in half. The 300 Watt 4 Ohms cab is loaded with 2x12 inch Neodymium custom B&C speakers, making this cab not only sound great, but also easy to lift and load after a gig."
"DV Mark are defiantly making their mark in a very competitive market place, and the Galileo is surely a serious contender for anyone considering a low wattage all-valve head."
