Markbass Super Synth and Distorsore- Friday 22 January, 2010
|
|
 |
|
 |
|
The SUPER SYNTH turns your bass into a synthesizer—with seriously cool sounds and no tracking delay! It also doubles as a digital octaver, with both octave up and octave down layers. The parameters of the pedal’s presets can be modified using the Markbass Pedal Controller software. Simply install the software, connect the pedal to your computer using a USB cable, modify the presets asdesired, and then load them back onto the pedal. Like all our pedals, this unit features true bypass.
This exciting new distortion pedal gives you the warm tube crunch that you only get from tubes, while honouring the natural tone of your instrument. Gain controls your input level; Volume controls your ouput level;Tube Drive controls the intensity of the distortion; and Mix lets you choose the balance between the clean and distorted signals. DISTORSORE features High Pass and Low Pass filters that allows you to gradually cuts high or low frequencies from your distorted sound, making your distortion brighter or darker. Also features a true bypass circuitry. |

Made in USA!
Gallien-Krueger introduces its first bass head featuring an all tube preamp.
The Fusion 550 bass head incorporates a uniquely designed six stage tube preamp paired with a 500 watt version of the high current solid state power amp used in the 1001RB-II. The rich warmth of tubes is combined with the quick, punchy power that GK bass amps are known for.
GK also incorporates motorized knobs which allow you to store two different settings. This gives you the ability to dial in a separate overdriven or slap tone and footswitch between them, a first for a fully analog bass amplifier. The Fusion 550 also features a simplified version of GK's exclusive 50 watt Horn Bi-Amp System. Dial in the horn where you like it and as you adjust your volume with the master control the ratio between the woofer and tweeter is preserved.
Other features include tube driven four band active EQ and voicing filters with a frequency select for the contour control. The rear panel features include Neutrik Speakon and 1/4" speaker output jacks, effects loop, tuner out, and a footswitch input jack. Also on the rear panel is a DI output which uses an isolated transformer for ultra-quiet operation.

Great MoMark reviews- Tuesday 08 September, 2009

"Despite its modular design the MoMark feels reassuringly solid leaving us with little doubts over its durability. If we had any reservations about how the MoMark might sound based on its compact size and modular design, they were quashed soon after plugging in. The MoMark retains all of the tonal transparency and fast note response that has made existing Markbass lines so popular. The tonal character of your instrument comes through in abundance and remains well balanced making the MoMark instantly gig ready."
"The current trend towards compact yet powerful bass amps has made reaping professional tones from a lightweight amp far more achievable, but it's the
modular design that scores the MoMark maximum points. Being able to custom order different preamp, EQ and output sections not only allows you to customize your rig for a particular bass, gig, or even a particular song, but as each amp frame and module varies in price according to its features, the MoMark effectively allows you to tailor your setup to suit your budget."
"Given the current financial climate value for money is of increasing importance, but that doesn't necessarily mean looking for the cheapest products. The MoMark offers high build quality and excellent bass sounds in a practical and portable package, and its modular design puts you in the driving seat when it comes to determining both its feature set and its price."

"All in all, there is very little to complain about with the MoMark bass amp system. Markbass' commitment to quality runs rampant throughout without overly coloring your bass' natural sound. No matter what combination of modules you use, you can easily find a bass tone that is useable and-more importantly-musical. This system surprisingly sounds like it should be much more expensive, which these days is a major plus. If you've longed for a customizable bass amp rig but didn't have the money to buy a barrage of individual components, you may want to take a look at the MoMark. It might just save your back and your wallet while delivering some thunderous tone."

Behemoth bassist Orion joins Markbass family- Friday 07 August, 2009

The 29 year-old bassist from Warsaw, Poland, is one of many bassists now discovering the power of Markbass for metal music. "Markbass gear simply stands out,” says Orion. “What I do with this gear is extreme metal music–and it perfectly fits the expectations of a bassist who is in need of house-crushing sound. And don’t be misled by the Markbass gear's light weight–its sound is heavy as hell!"
Orion used Markbass gear for the recording of Behemoth’s brand new album Evangelion, which will be released tomorrow in Europe on Nuclear Blast, and August 11 in the US on Metal Blade). He is currently rocking a Markbass rig on tour in the US, where the band has been headlining shows as well as performing alongside Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Cannibal Corpse and others.
Orion’s live rig for the current US tour is two SD 800 heads and Standard 106HF, Standard 104HF and Standard 151HF cabinets.
Behemoth were nominated for Fryderyk Awards (the Polish Grammy), and won the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods (Best Underground Band) award and Terrorizer Magazine’s Best Live Band award. They’ve charted on Billboard and are currently on the cover of all the major metal magazines including Metal Hammer, Zero Tolerance, Decibel, Metalized and more.
So far Orion has performed about 600 shows with Behemoth, and recorded three studio albums, a live album, live DVD, a few EPs, and more. In addition to his work with Behemoth, Orion is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and music producer, fronts the band Vesania (playing guitar and singing) and plays bass for Black River.
The Behemoth US tour wraps up in Dallas, Texas on August 15. September through November will see the band take their intense live show across Europe.
